A considered assessment of complex requirements.
Some finance needs do not fit a standard product category. Regalis considers selected non-standard transactions where the facts, security, legal position and proposed resolution can be assessed clearly.
A factual assessment of non-standard needs
Complexity requires more explanation, not less. A useful submission identifies the problem, the parties involved, any deadlines and the evidence supporting a viable solution.
Where financial distress or legal proceedings are involved, appropriately qualified advisers may need to participate. Additional borrowing can increase obligations and should not be presented as an automatic solution to an underlying problem.
We explain whether the requirement can be assessed further and what specialist information is needed. Acceptance of an enquiry does not imply approval.

Explain the complexity and a viable path forward
Special situations can involve overlapping debt, incomplete projects, unusual ownership arrangements or deadlines that do not fit a conventional application process. Begin with a factual chronology. Identify the parties, security interests, current obligations and the event that created the requirement. Distinguish established facts from an expected agreement or proposed solution.
The assessment needs a credible route to repayment and a practical way to complete the necessary legal and commercial steps. Where advisers are involved, explain their role and what information can be shared with permission. A deadline does not remove the need for evidence, due diligence or formal documents. Some scenarios cannot proceed because the proposed funding does not resolve the underlying issue or required conditions cannot be satisfied.
The process, explained
- 01
Describe the requirement
Start with the amount required, use of funds, timing and source of repayment. Identify the borrower and any broker or adviser involved so communication follows an agreed route from the outset.
- 02
Confirm the funding relationship
The team considers whether the scenario may be assessed for direct funding or through Regalis acting as finance broker. The proposed lender, service provider, costs and responsibilities are explained as the structure develops.
- 03
Review evidence and proposed terms
Detailed assessment can involve financial records, valuation, security review and legal documentation. Read the proposed costs, conditions, payment obligations and exit assumptions together. Raise missing information and changes promptly, before relying on an indicative position.
- 04
Document, settle and monitor
A transaction proceeds only when the relevant decision maker approves it and required conditions are met. After settlement, follow the facility reporting and repayment requirements and discuss material changes before an obligation is missed.
Questions before you proceed
Can a difficult deadline be considered?
The timing can be discussed, but a required date is not a commitment that funding can be arranged. Identify the actual deadline and outstanding work early so the team can assess whether a practical pathway exists.
Can finance solve a distressed business position?
Additional borrowing creates obligations and may not address the underlying problem. Where distress or legal proceedings are involved, appropriate independent advisers may need to assess the options alongside any finance discussion. An enquiry does not establish suitability or approval.
Start a considered conversation
A clear initial outline helps identify the next decision and the evidence needed to support it. Include the proposed timing and any complication that could affect the structure. Further information and transaction-specific terms follow through the appropriate assessment process.
